Event: Adversary > Miscellaneous > Satisfaction of Judgment

Whenever a Money Judgment is granted by the court awarding a sum of money to any party, the court must maintain a record of that amount. These types of Judgments are recorded in our Judgment Index in ECF (or for older cases, the Money Judgment Book).

When the Judgment is satisfied, the judgment creditor will file a Satisfaction of Judgment.

To File Electronically:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.
  2. Select [Adversary > Miscellaneous].
  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
  4. Select [Satisfaction of Judgment] from the event list.
  5. Select the party filer.
  6. Browse to select the Satisfaction of Judgment (.pdf file).
Note: Any supporting documents and the Proof of Service may be added as attachments to this document.
  7. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [-] to submit your document(s).
Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification inthe case.
