The Disclosure Statement should be filed prior to the filing of, or with the Plan. Before filing the Disclosure Statement and Plan, the filer should call chambers for a hearing date.
To File Disclosure Statement Electronically:
- Log into CM/ECF.
- Select [Bankruptcy > Plan].
- Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
- Select [Disclosure Statement or Disclosure Statement for Small Business] from the event list.
- Select the party filer. If the party is not listed, click on Add/Create New Party.
Note: The Attorney/Party Association screen may appear. If your party selection was correct, check the box to create an association. - Browse to select the Disclosure Statement (.pdf file).
- Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).
Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
To File Plan Electronically:
- In ECF, select [Bankruptcy > Plan ].
- Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
- Select [Chapter 11 Plan or Chapter 11 Small Business Plan] from the event list.
- Select the party filer. If the party is not listed, click on Add/Create New Party.
Note: The Attorney/Party Association screen may appear. If your party selection was correct, check the box to create an association. - Browse to select the Plan (.pdf file).
- Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).
Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case. - After filing the Disclosure Statement and Plan, file the Notice of Disclosure Hearing.
