Event: Bankruptcy > Trustee/US Trustee > Notice of Intent to Abandon (with no motion) or Bankruptcy > Notices > Notice of Intent to Abandon (Debtor in Possession Only)

Filing Requirements:

  • Notice of Intent to Abandon giving all creditors 14 days to object
    Note: A Proposed Order is NOT required, unless the matter is heard before the court.
  • Proof of Service

To File Electronically:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.
  2. Select [Bankruptcy > Trustee/US Trustee] when filed by Trustee. Select [Bankruptcy > Notices] when filed by debtor in possession
  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
  4. Select [Notice of Intent to Abandon (with no motion)] from the Trustee/US Trustee event list. Select [Notice of Intent to Abandon (Debtor in Possession Only)] from the Notices event list.
  5. Select yourself (trustee) (or debtor if filed by debtor in possession) as the party filer.
  6. Browse to select the Notice (pdf file).
    Note: The Proof of Service may be added as an attachment to this document.
  7. Enter the last day to object (defaults to 14 days; modify if necessary).
  8. Modify the text as appropriate.
  9. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).
    Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
