Filing Requirements:
- Motion to Extend Time To Comply with a Court Order or to Stay Dismissal
- Notice of Motion. If the deadline hasn't passed, and the order relates to an objection filed by a party other than the trustee, then a 14 day notice giving time to object is required. Notice is sent to the parties in interest.
If the deadline hasn't passed, and the order relates to an objection by the trustee, then no notice is necessary but the proposed order will be held for 5 business days to give the trustee an opportunity to object.
If the motion is filed and the deadline for compliance has already passed, then a hearing will be scheduled. - Proof of Service
- Proposed Order (may be filed after the last day to object has expired)
To File Electronically:
- Log into CM/ECF.
- Select [Bankruptcy > Motions/Applications].
- Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
- Select [Extend Time] from the event list.
- Select the party filer.
