Linking Reference Guide
The list below is provided as a guide to linking pleadings in CM/ECF. The general rule of linking is, “If what you are filing relates to something else on the docket sheet, then you must link it to that pleading.” The trick is knowing what requires linkage. Be sure to ALWAYS submit the main document first. The list below should help in providing some examples of the more common pleadings that require linkage in CM/ECF.

*If motion is submitted as a combined entry (motion/notice of motion/proof of service), it is not necessary to submit a separate notice of motion.
