Event: Bankruptcy > Motions/Applications > [motion event you are amending]

Filing Requirements:

  • Amended Motion
  • Other supporting documents
  • No filing fee

To File Electronically:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.
  2. Select [Bankruptcy > Motions/Applications] or [Adversary > Motions].
  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
  4. Select the appropriate Motion event from the event list.
  5. Select the party filer. If the party is not listed, click on Add/Create New Party.
Note: The Attorney/Party Association screen may appear. If your party selection was correct, check the box to create an association.
  6. Browse to select the Amended Motion (.pdf file).
  7. Answer question: "Is this an amended motion?" If you answer "yes," refer to the original motion on the next screen.
Note: If you encounter a motion that does not ask the question, "Is this an amended motion?" just select "Amended" from the drop-down box on the final screen.
  8. If the motion requires a fee, you MUST enter 'exempt' in the receipt field to avoid charging your credit card.
  9. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).
Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Relate (link) all subsequent filings or supporting documents to the amended motion.
