Notice of Conversion to Chapter 7

Filing Requirements:
- Notice of Conversion
- $25.00 Filing Fee to convert a Chapter 13 to Chapter 7
- $60.00 Filing Fee to convert a Chapter 12 to Chapter 7
To File Electronically:
- Log into CM/ECF.
- Select [Bankruptcy > Notices].
- Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
- Select [Notice to Convert Case to 7 (for Chp 13 and 12 only, when NO motion filed)] from the event list.
- Select the party filer.
- Browse to select the Notice of Conversion (.pdf file).
- To pay via credit card, leave the receipt field blank and select NEXT to continue filing.
- The Bankruptcy Case Conversion screen will display, enter the following:
- New Chapter: Select the new chapter that case is being converted to (Chapter 7)
- Asset Notice: Change to No
- Date Converted: Enter date Notice of Conversion was filed
- Modify the text as appropriate.
- Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).
Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
