Event: Bankruptcy > Miscellaneous > Debtor's Request for Email Delivery of Court Notices and Orders (DeBN)

Local Form: Debtor's Electronic Noticing Request (DeBN)

Pursuant to Fed. R. Bank. P. 9036, a party may make a written request for delivery of notices via email, instead of U.S. Mail. Debtor Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing (DeBN) applies to court generated notices and orders sent through the Bankruptcy Noticing Center (BNC) ONLY.

Filing Requirements:

  • Local form (photo I.D. when filed in person/copy of photo I.D. when filed by mail).

NOTE: If a joint filing, each debtor must file a separate form.

To File Electronically:

  1. Log into CM/ECF.
  2. Select [Bankruptcy > Miscellaneous].
  3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
  4. Select [Debtor's Request for Email Delivery of Court Notices and Orders (DeBN)] from the event list.
  5. Select the party filer.
  6. Browse to select the local form Debtor's Request for Email Delivery of Court Notices and Orders and the photo I.D. (if appropriate) (pdf file).
  7. Modify the text as appropriate.
  8. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).
    Note: This is a private entry. No document number will be assigned.
