An Amended Petition may be filed to correct debtor information listed in the original petition. Examples include debtor name, address, nature of debt, debtor type, e.g.

Note: A Spouse CANNOT be added to the case by filing an Amended Petition.

To File Electronically:

1. Log into CM/ECF.
2. Select [Bankruptcy > Miscellaneous].
3. Enter the case number (e.g, xx-xxxxx).
4. Select [Amended Petition] from the event list.
   Note: Petition must contain redacted SSN.
5. Select the party filer.
6. Browse to select the Amended Petition (pdf file).
7. If case is a Chapter 11, answer question re: small business designation.
8. Note why the Petition was amended in the text box.
9. Verify the final docket text; if correct, click [Next] to submit your document(s).
   Note: The Notice of Electronic Filing displays giving you the document number. Copies of this notice are immediately e-mailed to all participants who receive electronic notification in the case.
